Tough June

It has been a tough start to what already is usually a quiet month due to the end of financial year.  Please note that the stats in the supporting graph was taken on the morning of June the 12th, and therefore we are not yet halfway through the month.  Due to the fact that we just had the Queens Birthday long weekend, we are confident that later in the week the numbers for June thus far won’t appear so low.

Unfortunately due to the approaching end of financial year the short term outlook suggests a suppressed amount of new enquiries, until about the 2nd or 3rd week of July when things start to kick off again.

Looking forward into the new financial year  it will be interesting to see what outcome, if any, the current royal commission into banking and finance will have on potential business buyers.  How lenders assess loans for business acquisitions will most likely be affected, but at this stage we do not have a clear picture in terms of what will change.
