State of the Business Sales Market 15th to 30th July 2013

Whilst it would appear that the Easter/School holidays did put the brakes on the level of enquiries, however you can see from the graphs below that the number of enquiries for the month of March is ahead of both January and February of this year.  Evidence of the Easter/School Holiday affect are illustrated in the second graph were enquiries are down for late March early April.

The second graph illustrates that April is already on a positive path as well (note we have just entered the 16^thweek of the year).  One can only speculate if these numbers would be higher if the Easter/School Holidays did not fall in this period.

After some lean years it is really positive to see some positive growth in enquiries.  However I still believe we are some distance away before such a level of enquiry will start to see prices of business push upwards.
