The long weekend in November always starts off slowly, and again this year appears no different. Whilst we predicted the slow start in our last report, it is pleasing that the numbers so far are not as low as we originally had forecast.
The difficulties we now face is the ongoing Victorian election. History shows that Elections have a major detrimental affect to the level of new enquiries received. Mix this with the fact that usually towards the end of November, we see an end of year rush from prospects looking to get the wheels in motion before the holiday period begins. It will be very interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks, and perhaps this may push more people to enquire on businesses for sale in December than usual.
