GLAD TO BE WRONG

There aren’t too many times where you would be glad to be wrong.  In this case when the stats show results far better than you estimated, you are more than happy to put your hand up and say yes we got it wrong, well at least part of it. In our last report we estimated total enquiries for June would be slightly less than May.  Not only did June exceed May, but it has been the second high month this year.

In our defence we weren’t 100% incorrect.  When we broke down the stats per week in June, the enquiry rate had trailed off for the last few weeks as we approach the end of financial year, but not as much as we had expected.

These results have given us new confidence that the 2016/17 financial year will be again a better year for business sales.  But before we get too carried away we still suspect that July will have a slow start whilst the dust settles on both the federal election and the new financial year.  But beyond July we are hopeful and confident that the months ahead will be positive.
