FALL DOWN APRIL

We were quite disappointed when we reviewed the stats for April thus far.  After such a strong start to 2017 the last few months have seen a decline in enquiries on business sales.

April has been particularly disappointing given that we thought the second half will make up for the slow start to the month.  School holidays, Easter and the ANZAC long weekend certainly are not ideal conditions for generating a large volume of enquiries.

Consumer confidence for April has been lower than previous months and would have also had a drag on total volumes.

Some good news!  We will surpass the total volume of enquiries for April 2016, which would have battled similar issues due to holiday interruptions.

Looking forward, we’d like to see a big May before enquiries start to reduce around the end of financial year period.
